Last night, as I lowered my tired and aching body into my new soaking tub (Yes, thank you; the entire experience is lovely, wonderful and beyond my wildest dreams!) my mind turned to that other dream house. DHD friends, you know what I'm talking about.

Post Office PS

So, our new postmistress called this morning, as promised.  She called her District Office to inquire about progress.  DO expects to get the zip-code request out "by the end of this week."

It usually takes 2-3 weeks for National to received and act on the request.  Then the database will be updated (and info will start farming out ( Read more... )

I'm so very glad I was so very happy throughout the building process.  'Cause the moving process is hell on wheels.

We don't have an address, yet.  Oh, actually we do.  We know what it is.  Our township knows what it is.  Our post office even knows what it is.  But none of that counts.

Well, in a way ...

If you've made sure there's both paper towels and toilet paper (in each bathroom), tissue in the kitchen, some microwaveable lunches in the freezer, milk and juice in the fridge, and if Husband keeps forgetting to pick up the jacket he hung up in his clothes closet, then can't you say you've started the moving?
